Related species, all harvested and sold in the modern era as cinnamon, are native to Vietnam, Indonesia and other southeast Asian countries with warm climates.. buy only native cinnamon of srilanka or the one which comes from Northeast India or Burma.....not others..like vietnam n china.. Ceylon cinnamon has a sweeter, more delicate flavor than cassia does, which may make it preferable for flavoring desserts and lighter dishes.
