Blatant plagiarism

Clear Verdict: In his 70-page judgement, the judge compared the story, the sequence of incidents and the dialogue of Idena Nyayam with those of the film Gorintaku and another novel Raavudu on which the film script was allegedly based. He proved conclusively that it was a blatant case of plagiarism. Raavadu, as Ramlakshmi claimed, is an unpublished novel on which the film script was based and for which she was paid Rs 3,600.

The judgement, however, accused Narayana Rao of being "the brains behind the piracy and he made Ramlakshmi and the others party to the piracy for making the film". He also declared that 'it is collusion with her (Ramlakshmi) and the producers that Narayana Rao brought the novel Raavudu into existence subsequently to substantiate their case".
