Most of the colleges are providing selling points to get internships, Top schools means more guaranteed internship during summer with bigger companies, It mostly starts after 2nd year. Small schools means not guaranteed in big companies as kids have to sell themselves to get the job/internships. Big schools means the school name sells and adds advantage. This is what I found during my research. After completing first year, they are kind of their won. So its literally 2 years that colleges gets kids to get placement as internship thru their job fairs. Kids are guaranteed but how big the companies, how much salary depends upon the kid. Starting of Senior year or mid way thru the job is guaranteed by the companies.
