I think they will wait..the same Lakers offer will still be there in Summer. Celtics and Knicks offers could get better if they win the lottery. Celtics have the kings unprotected pick and top-4 picks are selected using the lottery from this year. If Knicks win the lottery...they will try KD+AD and offer Porzingis+pick. The wild card is nobody knows what the new Pelicans owner thinks like...she is the 3rd wife of Tom Benson who passed away last year. His grand daughter was running the team for a few years and then he got rid of her and gave the team to his 3rd wife. There was a huge lawsuit on whether he is mentally fit to make these changes. So, no guarantees that she will make a rational decision and if she has any idea about NBA. Intha major decisions will finally be beyond a GM. Their current GM is a disaster...who has somehow survived 4 owners..ideally they should get rid of him and bring a more competent guy to decide. |
