No, fisker karma is not a genius design. It was 30 something miles range on electric, all low range electric cars went to the dustbin including bmw i3 and i8. fisker didn't have the resources and it's a shit car

a genius design is nissan leaf which gave 100 something miles range, and that made it somewhat of a city car and sold for 35k. When combined with tax credits came as somewhat affordable. And that's why they sold almost 300k of those cars

there are options, but the rest of them are not as practical as Tesla. And Tesla is not interested in the scrap heap where you can never beat the el-cheapo korean cars
