1st off, business doesn't pass savings, unless they are in a do-die situation

Even if prices are reduced, the 2-4% savings won't be substantial, and that won't be registered by consumers

How these policies can help price reduction is by getting the market open to competition

But people don't think price reduction by competition as a reduction.

Ex: 40 inch lcd tv costs 40k rupees, 5 years later 50 inch LED tv costs 40k, there is a high chance that people think price is the same than by debating lcd vs. led on their merits and the size increase

But if no led, business will be selling lcd to customers at 35k leading to stagnation
