Surat: In a shocking security lapse, passengers of a Delhi-bound SpiceJet flight from Surat had a narrow escape today when a buffalo ran onto the runway when the aircraft was about to take-off. The take-off was aborted as the animal got sucked into the plane's engine thereby damaging it. The incident occurred around 7 pm. However, all passengers are reported to be safe. Airport officials rushed to the spot to inquire into the incident.
