After lodging a police complaint, when police suspected a foul play they discovered that she blackmailed her father after he denied her and her husband a car. The aggrieved father,who is a government employee, and two others have also been named in the FIR. When the police interrogated the daughter, no crucial evidence was found against the accused father. According to a report in Amarujala, the man had promised the boy’s family a car days before the wedding which was called-off over a familial dispute. Following that, the girl eloped with the boy and years after their marriage she started blackmailing her father to buy her a car. |
