raasaathi was one of the finest compositions from ARR, Those times of ARR were surely gone,, He was simply brilliant in this song. Shahul Hamid was just perfect fit for this song. First Link These guys were completely at this, the chorus was fantastic, orchestration was too close to original and singer did his best, for me Shahul Hamid had made impression so cannot say this singer was better or close to original, but definetely soulful singing... Chorus/instrumentation - first link. Second one has too much improvisations. There was some synch problem with lead singer and chorus in second link.. Lead singer had been off tone in couple of places. But he got the flavor, soul and was close enough.. I would say first link rules ..when comparision comes, but that too not fair as first one seems to be professional band where as second one is on singing show..
