how is it better than others?

Yeah vadutunna. it will connect to home wifi and there is an app to controll the thermostat from anywhere in the world.

how is it different from others ante, it has an auto learn mechanism which will be active for a month or so initially, and learn the heat and cold patterns you set in your home and automatically manages the thermostat accordingly.

I am able to see significant difference in my power bills before and after NEST.
