It is an unfortunate perception that CBN has done nothing for Agriculture the reason being he hasn't sprayed any pain killers. Instead he chose to tackle the root cause. But in this competitive world how can our state quickly make into limelight and boost the economy? Tourism, Electronics, Heavy Engineering, IT were few options available. Tourism will destroy our culture if taken up aggressively for ex. Thailand Electronics is very difficult to compete with Japan, China and other eastern countries. Heavy Engineering is tough to compete with West. So he chose IT considering the mathematical skills our state people inherently have. He put in gigantic efforts and changed the face of our state which everyone knows. All the IT development CBN did was indirectly aimed at uplift of Agricultural sector. Coming to the Power issue, CBN gave 9 hours power to the Agricultural sector charging a small tariff that will collect about 2 hours of Electricity production cost i.e he too gave 7 hrs of free current. Cunning dacoits with their shrewdness stripped off the charged 2 hours and implemented 7 hrs free current. |
