In spiritual arena, there are three concepts more or less the interpretation of shruti.
1. Advaitam - Adi Sankaracharya propagated this concept
2. Vishistadvaitam - Sri Ramanuja
3. Dvaitam - Madvacharya

Basically to tell the differences between in simple language,

Advaitam tells, whole universe is nothing but Paramaatma, Supreme Self. Everything we see is nothing but GOD, There is no two( dvaitam )in this world. The GOD is everything and everything.

Dvaitam tells that Supreme self (Paramatma ) is different to aatma ( our souls ), we realize that GOD is different than us. Atma is different to Paramaatma the supreme self. The only way both to get togather is completely surrender one self to Supreme thru devotion, basically one merges into the other. Where as advaitam you realize that everything is one.

vishista advaitam is same as Advaitam but a little complicated as it explains advaitam with some additional characters. It says Jeevatma ( souls ) and nature are part of Paramatma. Eventually it says they are all same.

Not sure it made any sense.. Let me know will add more details.
