caste are based on one's guna's ( qualities ) like Satva, Rajas, taamas.. These qualities decide what one can do and not. Caste system evolved later on when people started doing certain activities in society and got tagged. However as in every case, we forgot the root cause and fight against what we see perceive.

In modern age the caste system deosnt make sense anymore.
