Political parties are now on a mission to get close to Kapu’s community ,which is one of the deciding factor in next elections with more than 15% in Andhra Pradesh population . A recent political survey indicate that , Kapu’s are heading their support to TDP which is a worrying factor for Chiranjeevi who hails from same community and managed to get 18 seats with their help. Recently, ‘TDP has been the fount of Kapu leaders. It is their own party. Some people left to join other parties. I call upon them to come back to their home. Congress is only a rented place for them,” Chandrababu said. Naidu’s promise of giving 5000 crores special package to Kapus in the state during his walkathon and reservation to poor Kapus in the state also attracted them again towards TDP. These statement created a panic for chiru’s camp, its leader C Ramachandraiah started attack on Babu stating that, ’Kapus are not the commodities to purchase’. Other Kapu leaders in congress feel that, instead of attacking Babu, the party should come up with a better package to lure them and attract their attention. |
