go for F1 and apply for colleges immediately.

Even if you find desi employer, its almost impossible to file and get approval in 6 months.

DOL Wage determination is taking a month or so and they have to do ads and wait for 2 months before filing for labor. So even if you do this today, it will take atleast 3 months to file for labor. so F1 is the safest option.
