Erra Satyam case More or less same was the murder of Telugu Desam MLA from Jadcherla of Mahbubnagar, Erra Satyam, who was allegedly shot dead by a former head constable, Madhav Reddy, in 1996. Reddy was a close confidant of Satyam facing threat to his life from political rivals. The ex-policeman used to accompany when the MLA travelled remote places and allegedly shot the latter dead when he went to visit a Government school without other followers. Call it a coincidence or quirk of fate, even Madhav Reddy eventually got killed in Hyderabad by two of his associates, who were reportedly won over by his rivals. Interestingly, Suri's staunch supporter, Moddu Srinu, the prime accused in Telugu Desam MLA Paritala Ravindra murder, allegedly was connected to Madhav Reddy's killing but could not be arrested for want of evidence. Srinu was murdered in Anantapur prison by an inmate Om Prakash. |
