Got this e-mail from a close friends family. We deeply regret to inform u that Sarat kumar potaraju was our son XXX child hood friend and bosom chum since then , and family friend well wisher equally our son ,is no more. Since the age of 12 he used to visit our house in GUNTUR ,on the way to his house from school.later he did his B.teh in India and MS in France. since 3 yrs he is regular visitor to our house at Chicago,a friend in need, always keep in touch on phone every day . 2)As usual he visited us on 27th March he came to our house and spent the whole evening with us saying that he is going to Washington dc on 28th march, and then go to Newjersy to meet his cousin who is visiting USA on a job work with his family. 3)He planned to take them to Niagara falls and then to Washington dc for sight seeing before to see them off to India on 3rd April.They all were visiting the national mall where the memorials are located ,on the banks Potomac river,the tidal basin .it is known through his cousin that they all were moving around the Rusvelt memorial ,the cousin and his wife took their little son to the rest rooms ,then they saw Sarat texting some message looking at the cell phone .When they r back they found Sarat missing .They boarded the tourist bus that he may be already there,but invain . 4)inspite of all the efforts no body could find him .After 12 days the park police discovered a floating body which is identified as that of our dear loving Sart kumar .We r totally collapsed in grief and utter dismay.He might have been diverted with a phone call or message and while looking in to the phone and walking might have accidentally slipped in to the tidal basin , the walk way with no fencing or any safety measures. He doesn't know swimming . He left us in deep sorrow .we r unable to accept and digest the great loss for a life time .please pray for his soul rest in peace. pl see the link below with regards |
