She was born in Sivakasi in Southern Tamil Nadu to a Kamma family .There are approximately 4 million Telugu origin people in TN including Kammas, Reddys,Balijas etc who settled in TN during vijaynagara empire(400 years ago). Though some speak broken Telugu at home, they consider themselves Tamil. They celebrate Pongal and not ugadi. I am one of them and we all consider us tamils and not telugus. So Sridevi is tamil. However Tamils and Telugus share almost the same culture, so stop fighting. Warrior
