1 more thing buy silver from govt mints which belong to your home country which are well circulated in your home country and easy to liquidate in times of need and carry higher premiums from your local coin shops.

Canada-Royal Canadian Mint offer 9999 purity of silver

rest all of other countries issue in 999 purity of silver.

Aussie-Perth Mint
USA-American Eagles-US Mint

Also now a days there are lot of fake silver coins in the market from the chinese.

Always carry a pocket weight machine.

1 troy ounce=31.10 grams.

there are some fakes in US as well as in Australia or any country which weigh either less than or more than 31.10 grams

regular ounce used in regular usage is 28.64gms

Telugustudio i personally didnt buy silver in India. Try contacting Gold Jewerly shops.
