Megastar-turned-politician K Chiranjeevi has finally realized the mistake of merging his Praja Rajyam Party with the Congress, which is fast losing hold among the people in the state. Speaking to erstwhile PRP workers from Ramachandrapuram constituency in Hyderabad, Chiranjeevi said the Congress party can’t even dream of returning to power in 2014, if it continues to adopt the same strategy as it is doing now. He blamed it on the Congress leadership for neglecting the PRP cadres at the ground level and its failure to take them into confidence in the by-elections. “It was only because the Congress leaders had neglected the PRP cadres that it had lost in the recent by-elections. There is absolutely no recognition of the erstwhile PRP leaders in the Congress party. Yet, they had all worked sincerely for the party in the elections,” he said. chiranjeevi observed that the Congress leaders were feeling insecure with the merger of the PRP with the Congress. “They are not cooperating with us.
