Author Message   Gochi Censor Bewarse Username: Gochi Post Number: 89048 Registered: 07-2004 Posted From: 199.253.243.18 Rating: N/A Votes: 0 Posted on Friday, April 19, 2019 - 9:53 am:    I don’t feel its worth spending 50k per year just for the university name tag...i have friends sons/daughters that came out with 150k debt/spending and they majored in fields that do not have any jobs...BS Biochemistry major and now that kid is planning to do MS Comp Sc to get a good job...so name tag okkate kaadhu, what they major also matters...most of the desi crowd fall in the trap of medical and they start with biology, chemistry, biotech type courses and then when they cannot get into med school or lose interest, they end up in this mess..by the time they realize they would have already spent a lot... So if you are confident that kid is extremely focused and is choosing the right major go for it..else State Univs are also good..
