The existing terminal, which was under renovation, would have the facility ready for customs and immigration service. Even if there was a delay in operation of international flights, customs and immigration services, if made available at the Vijayawada airport, could be of help since it could clear passengers flying abroad and their baggage, After the renovation, the airport would have more space once the airport was upgraded, it would have 14,500 ft runway which could take even A 389 double-decker wide-bodied flights. |
