One of my friend posted this in FB after visting RJY for pushkarams. Seems like this is the final feedback from everyone..

quote:

1) There are literally millions of people in Rajahmundry.
2) Service Organizations are rendering excellent service (Lions Club, Sai Seva Dal, NSS, local clubs, NGOs etc.) - free tea/coffee/butter milk/water/breakfast/snacks/lunch/dinner etc. etc. being handed over at several places near all the ghats.
3) Lions Club employed about 20 (?) wheel chairs to help the needy people go from one place to another - until they can find proper transportation
4) RTC plied free buses to move visitors from their entry point in the outskirts of RJY to several points in RJY city. (Heard RTC pulled out the free buses as they needed them to clear the stranded visitors and send them to their towns/cities)
5) Nobody is suffering from lack of food or water. Many visitors are also seen taking rest in colleges, function halls, open places etc. without a complaint.
6) Free medical camps are also being conducted at several places along the Ghats.
7) The Police are doing great work keeping everything in order at the ghats as well as in the city.
8) NGO volunteers are really doing great service all over RJY.
9) Rajahmundry citizens are also pitching in with whatever they could do - to help the visitors. Many hotels provided free breakfast, lunch and dinner to all the guests all through.
10) Sanitation workers there are also doing great work by cleaning up all the garbage being thrown by the people, despite continuous announcements to not throw garbage on the streets.
11) All the ghats are being maintained by the police and volunteers with great vigil.
12) All in all, a great experience being in Rajahmundry for 2 days.
