The National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics, abbreviated to NACEN, is a premier national academy of the Government of India for training of Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers administering Customs, Central Excise, Service Tax and Narcotics laws in India. It imparts training to the officers of the elite Indian Revenue Service (IRS). It is also the regional training center of the World Customs Organization (WCO) for the South-Asia region. It has nine regional training center across India which hold induction training for the group B and C officers. After completing the foundation course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoouriee the direct recruits of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) undergo an intensive training in taxation laws, international trade, narcotics laws, financial administration of India.

The recruitment to this service is through Civil Services Examination held at prescribed date every year.
