The epicentre was 30 km below sea level, they added. The quake struck at 9:50 pm and the aftershocks lasted for 40 seconds. Tremors were felt across India, in Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Kolkata and Odisha. There is no tsunami alert, officials said.
