I think you are refering to when Arjuna says I am klling all the others, my relatives my friends and brothers, Krishna says, its not you, its their karma's effect they are getting dead, its not Arjuna who is killing them. Arjuna is acting as only an instrument of dharma to kill them. This law of dharma has decided this long back and Krishna is witness for it.

However we think Lord writes the destiny, but what I believe is GOD has nothing to do anything about our destiny, its our own karma's decides our future life, the balance sheet decides, Lord ensures things are occurring as per design..
