Her current H-1 is expiring in January,2014 and the current employer applied for extension about 6 weeks back. Due to US GOvt shut down the status of the current application is not known.She got her masters in US and working in the same field. Now she got some another job with a new company with much better pay ( about 50% increment and a dream job). Can she apply for H-1 transfer now? or should he wait until the H-1 extension is done. Both the jobs are full time and not in software and the first one is in retail the second one is in marketing.
