New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday ruled out his resignation over the ordinance passed by the Cabinet to protect convicted legislators, despite Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's explosive comments denouncing the move which stunned both the party as well as the Central government. Standing firm despite criticism from all quarters over the ordinance, the Prime Minister during the on-board press conference on his way back from the US after the UN General Assembly summit, indicated his disappointment with Rahul Gandhi over the way he went against the party line and called the ordinance a 'nonsense' which should be 'torn up and thrown away'. The Prime Minister said that he will be meeting Rahul on Wednesday to discuss with him his reservations over the ordinance and also to find out the reason for the manner in which it was done.
