I lived too many years outside and India changed tremendously in the mean time. I can never adjust to the life style there; forget about the kids. lot of my ex-colleagues, friends and close relatives become very rich in the last 15 years due to the real estate boom (mostly). I never invested in India anything and I don't save much here either. At the same time we go wherever we want whenever we want, life is wonderful in Canada. I don't think I can do that without substantial income there in India. It all comes down to what you want.
