Naidu On Sacking Spree Of Rebels [Geddapayan in full form no looking back]

While the ruling Congress party continues to watch rebel MLAs leaving the party and jumping the fence to join YSR Congress party headed by Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu is getting rid of such rebels as early possible.

In the last couple of days, Naidu has sacked three MLAs from the party who had shifted loyalties to YSR Congress party. While Tamballapalle MLA Praveen Kumar Reddy was suspended from the party on Tuesday, two other MLAs – T Vanitha of Gopalapuram in West Godavari district and Chinnam Ramakotaiah of Nuzvid in Krishna district, were sacked on Wednesday.

The party has already suspended Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani recently and Telangana MLAs K Hareeshwar Reddy and S Venugopala Chary much earlier. While Nani joined YSRCP, Hareeshwar Reddy and Chary are all set to join the TRS.

Apparently Naidu is of the view that the sooner the rebels go out of the party the better for him, as he could develop alternative leadership in those constituencies. The party is filing a petition before assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar, asking him to disqualify the suspended MLAs from the assembly membership for defying party line.
