Orange movie review : Film just rocks

Movie : Orange
Cast : Ram Charan Teja, Genelia, Shazahn Padamsee, Brahmanandam and others
Language : Telugu
Music : Harris Jayaraj
Editing : Marthand K. Venkatesh
Director : Bommarillu Bhaskar
Producer : Naga Babu
Rating : 3.75/5

STORY OF ORANGE IN BRIEF
------------------------------------------------

Ram Charan resides in Sydney. Unlike other boys of his age, he does has a different concept of love. He sees love as a 'short term feeling'.

He believes that as a relationship progresses between lovers, with time the love also reduces.

There is a reason for his thinking. In the past he was involved with a love affair with Ruba (Shazahn Padamsee). He truly falls for her. But she becomes too possessive and in turn he had to stay away from friends, near and dear ones and also looses his freedom.

Unable to bear this, he comes out of the relationship and since then he makes sure that he does not truly fall in love with anyone and keeps his subsequent relationships-love short term.

Janu (Genelia) comes to Sydney and Ram Charan falls for her truly. But now he is confused. Will he stick to his concept of 'short term love' in this relationship too or ditches this concept for her forms rest of the story.

ANALYSIS OF THE MOVIE
----------------------------------------------

Before the analysis is written, one must say that as promised by Nagababu and Bhaskar, this truly is a different love story. Instead of the regular 'boy meets girl and fights for her' concepts, this concept was never heard of in the Indian cinema.

The movie appeals to the present day youth since most of the youth fall in love and break-up soon and this movie analyzes the love in a completely a new angle.

PERFORMANCES
--------------------------------------

Ram Charan, Genelia and Shazahn Padamsee excel in their roles.

Ram Charan is simply superb. One must say that he excelled himself in the role of a 'confused lover' and his facial expressions during emotional scenes and in scenes like where he regrets loosing his freedom during his relationship with Shazahn are extraordinary.

Ram Charan also excelled in the dances. His costumes were also well selected.

And he looks handsome throughout the movie.

Genelia is another treat to watch. Her expressions as an innocent girl are out of ordinary. Genelia and Ram Charan make an excellent pair. In the film she looks more like a teenager in the age group of 16-19.

Shazahn Padamsee did justice to her role. She just looked awesome. But in some complex scenes, her expressions and body language are not upto the mark. But she would get more films in the South for sure.

Brahmanandam is good in the role of Puppy. Others like Nagababu, Avasarala Srinivas, Manjula, Sanjay did justice to their roles.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
---------------------------------------------

All the departments excelled especially the cinematography and the music. All the songs are hummable and the background score is good.

Dialogues are not lengthy and are to the point. Locations are well selected.

Choreography was very good with some new and extraordinary steps. Editing was well done. Costumes were well selected.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MOVIE
--------------------------------------------

1) Ram Charan's acting
2) Ram Charan's dances
3) Genelia
4) Shazahn Padamsee's cute looks
5) Comedy of Brahmanandam
6) Locations
7) Music
8) Dances
9) Dialogues

DRAWBACKS OF THE MOVIE
---------------------------------------------
1) Shazahn though looked cute, needs to improve on her facial expressions

Newsofap.com's final word : The movie just rocks. As promised by Nagababu, this truly is a new concept on love and do not miss the movie
