Dhammu- a very powerful title sets high expectations when you hear the word, but did movie match it only in parts...
Story:- same wine in the same bottle, Rehashed by the TFI almost for the zillionth time and by all the leading actors in the TFI..
Narration: left a lot to be desired.. for the sake of making the interval bang big, the director dragged lots of sequences and brought lots of unwanted characters.
Music: while listening without the visuals couple of songs set the expectation high, but in the picturization the director and choreographer both fell flat.
Songs actually were inserted in lots of places without any rhyme or reason
Dialogues: were decent, had some very obvious references to Cong/YSR Govt  .
Fights: same old Sumos and Scorpios flying, dont ask me why because thats the only way our industry seems to know to picturize action sequences.
Direction: Boyapati does not seem to have gotten over the success of Simha..
Actors:
NTR: it was NTR all the way, we all know he is one of the few actors in the current breed who cn emote and emote really well.. but in lots of places emulated NBK especially voice modulation and dialogue delivery which the senior NBK did amazingly in Simha.
Not that NTR was bad but...
Trisha and Karthika: their only role was skin show in dance. ofcourse Trisha had couple of scenes where she had to emote.
Comedy: did not have the right effect, Bemmi and Ali were wasted.
Venu: characterization was just ok.
Nasser was apt.
Suman, Kota and Bhanupriya: played their part.
+ves:
1. NTR action
2. 1st 20 minutes or the movie, 10 minutes before the Interval and 20 mins after the death of NTRs Brother in law.
3. Locations were good.
-ves:
1. Story
2. Slow narration of story
3. Song sequences killing the flow of story (in short placed in unwanted places)
I will stay away from giving a rating..
But will still say its a lot better than Rachha..
