After abusing journalist, Nagajuna waves the white flag
Tollywood actor Nagajuna lost his cool with a female cine critic who gave him negative feedback on his films; he allegedly hurled abuses at her and threatened to 'kill' her
Under the Indian Penal Code sections 506(criminal intimidation) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills police registered a case against Tollywood actorNagarjuna Akkineni, on Saturday.
The actor reportedly lost his temper with a female cine critic, at the Annapurna Studios on September 29. And now we hear that since the complaint, the actor has been trying to make amends with the freelance journalist.
The journalist, who is a member of the Film Censor Board, alleged that Nagarjuna had approached her when she was interviewing a heroine at the studio. In the police report, she claimed that Nagarjuna had asked her what she thought about his films Dhamarukam and King.
When she gave Nagarjuna negative feedback on his films, he supposedly verbally abused her and even threatened to kill her. In the report, she stated, "All this happened in the presence of a few film persons."
Reportedly, the police did not conduct any probe into the case right until Sunday evening.
A source explained that Nagarjuna's aides had conveyed to the authorities that the actor was trying to make peace with the journalist. "Based on an apology, the woman is free to withdraw the complaint. If she stands firm on her complaint, Nagarjuna may face up to two years of imprisonment," explained the source.
Despite repeated attempts, both the journalist and Nagarjuna remained unavailable for comment.

Telugu actor Nagarjuna to apologize to journalist
Telugu actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, who had a tiff with a local journalist over her criticial remarks on his two recent films, may make peace with her to avoid further complication of the case.
The journalist had filed a case against the actor after the incident last week with the Jubilee Hills police station in Hyderabad. The police have registered the case under Section 506 (criminal intimidation) and Section 509 (abuse, gesture or act to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The incident took place at the Annapurna Studios on Thursday and sources told the media that the actor is making truce with the journalist, who is also a member of the Film Censor Board.
The actor’s recent film King was a flop and the journalist’s negative feedback on his wig in the film apparently intrigued the actor who retorted shouting at her with threats to her life as well.

Nagarjuna booked for verbally abusing a female journalist
Akkineni Nagarjuna had an argument with a female journalist, Y Sunita Chowdhary over an article she had written about him sometime ago. Sunita filed a police complaint against the actor and the police have begun a probe into the matter. A case under sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) of Indian Penal Code have been filed. According to the statement filed against Nagarjuna at the Jubilee Hills police station in Hyderabad, the journalist said that the actor threatened to kill her and used offensive language against her. The latest buzz is that Nagarjuna has been trying to waving the white flag to her since the complaint. The journalist, who is also a member of the censor board, so far has not given into the actor’s apology. In case Sunita chooses not to withdraw her complaint, Nagarjuna may face a minimum of two years imprisonment.
