This morning I saw online that my 32gb Touchpad from OnSale was delivered by UPS (had ordered 2 16gb but were cancelled). I am home today getting ready to go on vacation this weekend, so I was surprised as my normal UPS driver delivers around 5pm and always rings my doorbell. I looked outside my front door and no package! Called UPS and the rep told me the delivery location was indicated as "back door". I explained that my "back door" is behind a locked privacy fence, and they said "Sorry, that is what our system indicates". As I was on the phone with the rep, I looked out my back window and saw the box in my back yard about 6 feet in from my privacy fence on my concrete walkway. Went outside and picked up the box, and one corner was CRUSHED where it landed when the UPS "delivered" it over my privacy fence and it hit my walkway. I explained this blow by blow to the UPS rep. The UPS rep connected me to the local UPS delivery location manager and I explained the situation again while holding my damaged delivery in my hands. Local UPS manager said he would check-in with the driver and call me back.
Local UPS manager called me back and told me to open the box and see if the item shows any damage. Inside HP box had big dent in corner and upon opening the product box, I saw a BIG crack across the screen. UPS manager said he would have another someone stop by later today to look into the "delivery method".
So, the ONE touchpad that I actually received from 6 different orders (all the rest cancelled by the vendor) is now useless and I will have to work out a claim with UPS and OnSale (and most likely Amazon if Onsale doesn't come through) to get my money back and still no touchpad!
