forget about the past. But if it is a No 1 team in the world it should perform all over the world no matter how the pitch is and what the weather condition is. Then they deserve it. our team is well experienced and are playing against these conditions since long time (except the few new comers)..
considering this and talking about the ratings our players could have done better and the ratings given are as good as their play. no one deserves any extra credit |

ok, i give tendulkar 8/10 for being consistent and taking us close to the 1st innings total of Saffers after laxman gotout in an unfortunate manner
Laxman 7.5/10 for his stupendous solo batting performance to win us the second test and also coming and out and playing confidently in the last 90 mins of the 3rd test.
Gambhir played well 3 out of 4 times he batted and deserves 7.5/10
Zak 7/10 for his bowling in the 2nd test and also helping Lax with that partnership.
Bhajji 7/10 for his good bowling in the 2nd and 3rd tests.
Santh 6/10 for his good show at times.
Pujara is a newcomer so i give him 5/10 as laxman pointed out he hung around with him for more than an hour and that really helped to push the score.
Sehwag 4/10 for his 30s in the 2nd test and 2nd innings 49 in the 1st test....over all disappointing.
Dhoni 3.5/10 nothing much to talk about
Dravid 3/10 nothing much to talk about except his 200 catches.
Ishant sharma 2/10 for his wkt of morkel to break the partnership with prince.
Unadkat- i really dont want to judge him based on one match. benifit of doubt granted.
Vijay - no judgement as he was just a replacement for gambhir and once again proved he is a lucky replacement as India never lost when he was in the elevn for Gambhir.

2011:remainder of the series...very average...
reminder of the series enti unnade 3 tests kada danlo only first test he failed. 2nd test highest scores for India in both the innings and made sure we had enough runs to defend and win the match...3rd test he was unlucky to get run out in that fashion in the first innings but again 2nd innings he played well with tendulkar in company and did not give any leeway to the saffers.

series aipoindi...randi ikkada discudam evaru ela aadaro...evaru inka team lo undatam anavasaramo...etc;
virender sehwag - 2/10 - contributed very little on the field and with the bat
gautham gambhir - 7/10 - played a very important role in cape town...an extra point for daring his injury and coming out in the 2nd innings
rahul dravid - 3/10 - a point more than sehwag just for his inputs in the field and catching...
sachin tendulkar - 7/10 - played his part to the T except for the durban test...
VVS Laxman - 7/10 - played a superb rearguard innings in the durban test and set up the win...remainded was average and an unfortunate dismissal...
Chateshwar Pujara - 3/10 - all the points just for his sharp catching
M.S.Dhoni - 3/10 - nothing much to write about
Harbhajan Singh - 6/10 - was pathetic in the centurion test but played his part in the remainder of the series
Zaheer Khan - 6/10 - instrumental in changing the way how team india's bowling attack fared in the 2 tests he played and got his bunny twice
ishanth Sharma - 1/10 - for playing and giving some rest to the main seamers...a point
Sreesanth - 5/10 - fire and ice...
