Laxman is in the form of his life and he is one of the all time greats for india and one of the reasons why india is the number one in the world. He deserves all the accolades he is getting. but do not belittle others to praise laxman.

Greatest tribute came from the Greatest Graeme Pollock...some one asked him if Laxman came close to any of the greats during his days and he sadi " i dont think so, he is special and he has got so much time to play diff kind of shots on diff picthes all over the world and he is some one who just takes control of the game and only the future playeres should compare themselves with Laxman.

Laxman has amazing determination. He can be aggressive like Shewag, patient like Dravid, stylish like Sachin. But they all can never be like Laxman to perform under pressure. He never give up even if he have the 10th or 11th man on the other end. Wish you great fitness to save the game of cricket. |

For Mr Very Very Special VVSL's sake I hope his team wins. He did everything possible, so. He is the only player around I feel like giving a very very special respectful hug. This unassuming team-player is cute and has all the good vibes, I hope greater things in store for him. It is not easy to 'shine' in front of a top order boasting of Sachins, Sehwags, Dravids etc. VVSL has not yet touched 8000 runs. When he does that, to me, it will seem like 20,000 precious runs and 100 special tons. And Sid Mongia's article has me in splits. Sounds humorous. |

Class Act VVS. Time and Again he does this. He may not be part of ALL Time ESPN-Cricinfo India X1. He may be the only one, NO IPL team Willing to BID for in this Indian team. "LAXMAN" - The great batsmen who would be remebered like Micheal Bevan for Australia..it's not always about scoring centuries ..it's about accepting pressure when the team requires. Well no offence to Fans of "Sachin" ..he his the greatest player but people always forget that ,there is this guy who can score under immense pressure which players like sachin can't deliver . If at all there's any category for "Most Saving Matches" in crisis by ICC - it should go to Laxman. A valuble 30 or 50 is more valuble than century when almost all team members score centuries in a match.Team India is No 1 because of player who can manage to play with tail enders. India will definately miss this guy after his retirement. |

VVS..The eternal crisis man...An enigma..When accolodes pours across his other illustrious compatriots..he goes about his tasks in a serene & monk like patience..Had the same innings being played by Sachin..we would have again been dished out with comparions like if this innings was greatest innings played.. Once again proved how reliable he is to the team.Cricket is a team game when it comes to VVS.He could have easily remained not out .He chose to go for the kill.Either the tail enders or other batters seem to enjoy his company or may be the pressure or excitement of playing with Sachin could be the detrimental factor when it comes to playing with the tail enders.I wish to see him bat at No.3.His 49 fifties each are priceless along with his other hundreds.He needs to be recognized and treated as the Best Indian Batsman atleast in a crisis. |
