Nature is powerful, and cures itself. I never had any bad or good opinion about Ramalinga Raju until maytas involved in jubilee hills land auction. I lost impression on him the moment they bought the land for 60 crores/acre. Just to raise the value of their thousands of acres land, they paid unimaginable price and played with the common man's life. If the economy continues like this for 2 more years, all the people who bought flats and lands after 2005-2006 are going to loose lot of money and they will end up paying interest too. All these guys cheat everybody and earn lot of money. Eventually they loose most of it one or the other way. |

i am clueless being a past employee and current investor and believer of this great company. it gave me the life full of opportunities I never forget in my life. This company is made of most talented people and it is still. I can write pages about how much I was attached to this company by way friends, family members and loved ones memories that are touches my life at least once in a day. I dont know how much time it takes to come out of this crisis.
Regarding AP Govt's involvement with Maytas and other investments/ventures, it is YSR govt. first and foremost responsibility to show some transperncy in coming out clean to keep the image of State politics intact with this corporate disaster AEAP. I wish CBN and YSR work together on this instead of fighting on the blame game and present the truth to the people of AP since crores of public money and trust involved with the projects. |

its not daring.. it is one of the worst act of leadership and most irresponsible management that killed the confidence of lacks of satyamite families, lakhs of investers and public trust of Indian IT industry built over years. The exit with such open admission of fraud is very very very damaging to the image of every proud IT worker who had faith in the leadership of Satyam. We lost money, self esteem and pride and of all the the trust.
There are many ways to admit the fraud and it is one of the dumbest way to uncover the fraud by virtually throwing us in the drains.
Shame on you Raju and gang who masterminded this.

Satyam's Top Leaders Commit to Stay Despite Disclosures by Founder of Financial Irregularities
HYDERABAD, India, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Satyam Computer Services Limited (NYSE: SAY) said today its top leaders have pledged to remain in the company and work jointly to steer the organization following shocking disclosures by its founder and chairman Mr. Ramalinga Raju of financial irregularities.
Ten of the most senior executives of Satyam, including interim CEO Mr. Ram Mynampati, gathered at its headquarters in Hyderabad, have collectively committed not to resign from the company which has approximately 53,000 associates. Approximately 40 other top managers from various geographical regions - known as the "Leadership Council" - have also given their commitment to remain in the company.
"The pledges of commitment from these leaders, coming hours after disclosures and the resignation of Mr. Raju, underscore the unity and determination of the Satyam leadership to steer the company through this crisis," the eight leaders said in a joint statement.
The company will hold a press conference at 5 pm IST in Hyderabad to outline an action plan to address key concerns of various stakeholders including customers, investors, employees and business partners.
"Satyam is facing a major crisis in which the unity and clear strategic direction of its top leadership are of paramount importance. This collective commitment will serve to significantly assuage concerns of various stakeholders in a highly fluid and challenging situation," the leaders added.

NEW DELHI: With a big questions mark on its cash position and a minimum outgo on salary estimated at Rs 500 crore a month, Satyam may lay off over Employees unsure 10,000 employees next month, says a recruitment firm.
"It is most likely that Satyam will cut 10,000 jobs next month as the company is left with no cash to pay the salaries. The current fiasco is likely to put pressure on salaries, which may reduce by 10 per cent due to the surplus of about 20,000 people in the jobs market," Headhunters India CEO Kris Lakshmikanth said.
Satyam interim CEO Ram Mynampati while admitting that the cash position is not encouraging, the company, however, has taken care of salary for December.
Lakshmikanth said till Tuesday evening there were about 7,800 people from Satyam who had posted their resumes on job sites and by Wednesday afternoon, it has gone up to 14,000.
The uncertainty about jobs is killingly painful for the 53,000 employees of Satyam, especially when the industry is going slow on recruitment.
Further, possibility of a takeover too looks distant as the accounting fraud done by the company would make it difficult for any firm to evaluate its correct market value, which is compounding the worries of the employees.
IT-BPO union Unites Professionals general secretary Karthik Shekhar said, "In case of any lay off at Satyam, we may take legal action."
"We have received over 7,000 hits since the news break. Yesterday, in one hour we have seen over 800 hits (no of people visiting the site) from Hyderabad. People have been enquiries on how the union can help them," Shekhar added. |
