Maa company lo kuda out of the blue Aug lo notiffy chesaru. contractors forced vacation for 2 weeks before end of Dec 31st. u can do it anytime in the year. I took 3.5 weeks. so its not an issue. but for some people managers literally asked people to send vacation plans for two weeks those who never took a day off.

idi chala bad time job pothe, I mean year end lo no company will really hire. They may do some interviews but no new hiring at this time of the year. in future when you are looking for jobs, better try at utilities, they are always stable and almost recession proof. very rarely utilities fire people. |

my team mate under same manager for different group had contract until 12/31. he was told that his contract ending on 11/24 itself on monday. he just bought a one way ticket to india this PM since he is single and he want to relax for some time until situation changes. he is a very needy and critical resource.

For the first time in my career, I felt the pain of economic situation. Ee roju tho na current contract 5PM ki end aindi. 6 months contract extension chestunnam ani ma manager request pedithe... 6 weeks ki official ga approve chesaru in the last hour after i was officially out of contract at 5 PM today. my manager feedback.. "i worked very vigorously to get this extension for u. tomorrow ur badge and access to network may not work.. be prepared and do not panic.. we will work it out tomorrow."
i was the only resource for this practise in my team. this is the situation for one of the biggest corps. situation is getting really bad. I dont know whether I shld feel good or bad for this..
It is time for us to save few bucks for tough times and sustaining capabilities if things do not work out.
