I was chatting with my fren in US and he explained why he voted for Obama.
in his words: "longer the US fights in iraq, longer everyone will be paying more for oil. oil sells in dollars - US - so they want it to be higher.
if u r paying more for oil in europe / asia / in the moon or mars, u r paying for the war.
democrats are likely to improve the economy and help businesses.
another factor is the home ownership issue. less people are likely to lose their homes with democrats.

Both candidates have -ves and +ves. But in the end for me, Obama made more sense. He showed coolness in current financial crisis where as McCain showed anger and worriedness when he cancelled his campaign to goto washington for 700b bailout passing. (This just one example).
I felt we need a president who can handle issues with care but not with anger.
That's my opinion and that's why Obama got my vote.
For the record sake, I am not a democrat or republican. I want to decide my vote based on several angles but not based on party lines. That's why I registered myself as an Independent.
