Even though I own my house outright, if someone moves in with me for a relatively short time they can claim half my house, half my super, half of everything if things don't work out. Safer to stay single to ensure my kids inherit all my assets that I worked for. Not my preferred option but the safest one as the law doesn't recognise pre-nups in this country, so unless you live with someone who has exactly the same assets you can lose big-time.

I was married like most people i had the flash house,new car,dog cat,gold fish,credit card,working two jobs,but still unhappy?? Now iam single no job no debt old car dog ran away bank took the house and now i live happy ever arfter.... :-)

Most of my male friends are very reluctant to get involved with a female of child bearing age, because there is nothing in mariage for them except, paying bills and giving mummy babies when she decides it's time to bail out of the work force and have a bit of a bludge around the house, eating chocolate and watching tv all day. I have several male friends, who are very regretfull of having taken wedding vows. They come home to a dirty house, no cooked food and whinging wife and kids. Good old Don Dunstan was a good man, he opened up trading hours in our hotels...so now us guys can get a good meal, and a beer, with out having to go home after work. To all you guys out there, always remember, utmost and foremost, a female see's you as a "biological and financial" necessity, be wary, when she has satisfied her need to breeed at your expense, she will take half of your assets (that you have slaved to accuire) and run. It's cheaper and much more fun to pay for a "bit" on the side, and if you get lonely, that's what friends are for.
