I met Bobby during the shooting of Atidhi. Bobby (Ravi) is a krishna abhimani and needless to mention a Mahesh fan too. Bobby comes across as a gentle guy, he is a mech engineer and runs his own business..Silicon Systems that deals with security systems and power projects, in vizag. Mahesh Babu’s b’day falls on aug 9th and Bobby wishes him a happy b’day.
He says he’s been watching Mahesh’s films, all of them atleast 20 times each in the theatre and Murari ranks highest on his count and recollects seeing his hero for the first time at Annapurna Studios during Rajakumarudu shooting. “As a child artiste, i’veseen his films so many times and thought he was on the plump side but when we went for Ramesh Babu’s wedding reception at padmalaya I was so pleasantly surprised. He looked so charming.” Bobby adds that despite growing ina filmi environment the hero is so down to earth and normal, and there is no trace of arrogance in him and that he is always spontaneous in helping fans in need and very accessible unlike the other stars.
That Mahesh is going to be a super star for the next 25 years or so is beyond doubt, it’s just that a film like pokiri took time to come and please all sections of the audience. Bobby says emphatically, ‘mahesh ki dabbulicchi cinemalu aadinchatam istam vundadhu and he hates supporting any party.” NBK gariki tappadhu, it’s his father’s party. Chiranjeevi gariki tappadhu, it’s his party but mahesh does not belong to any. By virtue of being Krishna’s son who has been and is a cong supporter he is being dragged into this unncessary discussion.
Krishna garu cong lo unnaru kabatti mahesh kooda aa party ni support cheyyamanatam correct kaadhu. There is definitely an element of blackmail politics here. Mahesh has even returned the advance given by Jagan. Now the seven day celebrations of mahesh’s b’day is on without his consent. Krishna gari abhimanulu 80% are cong people. Most of them labdhi pondhataniki, party ticket or otherwise they are projecting an image for themselves and are using mahesh’s name for that purpose. Mahesh always says praja seva cheyyataniki politics avasaram ledhu, one can do it without being in it. For his son gautam’s b’day he is planning to distribute wheelchairs for the handicapped and he recently donated to the cancer patients..all of them kids.”
Bobby signs off saying that his most memorable moment was spending a whole day with mahesh touring in a bus. That was during the vijaya yatra of arjun at vizag. |
