I queried some people in GHMC, MBNR and RR areas. The places and people I surveyed included Autovalas, Tea kottu people, some people near the bus stands, book fair on necklace road, hotel waiters, people at parks, etc, etc.

Talked to 238 people.
Breakup:
Gender: 230 Men + 8 Women
(Talking to women about this issue was hard.)
Religion: Hindus - 192
Muslims - 46
Age group: 18 to 25 years - 82
25 to 40 years - 109
40 years & above - 47
(Age based on best guess when some people did not answer that)
Caste: No clue.
Education: (Only based on my best guess)
No Degree - 156
Any Degree - 82
(Guess based on level of polishedness, profession, and just my feel)

3. Other observations
(a) When I asked people the question "Will Chiru enter politics?", there was a cynical smile most of the time. It meant different things with different people.
(b) Majority of the few people who wanted to vote for Chiru are between 18 and 25 years of age.
(c) Most of the people who refused to answer are Muslims.
Hopefully for Chiru fans, the situation is a lot different in the coastal areas. Or, it may improve with the candidate.

Next one week, I will visit 10 places (5 of them are listed below). I will talk to 20 people at each spot. I will post genuinely what people are thinking with "NO" editing.
