guess what..
bhupathi mama whats happening with me rojuko card cl increase avuthunadi,i casually called BOA and asked CL increase saying i want to btranfer from couple of cards to my 1st BOA card and limit is very low,they kept me on hold came back and said i just checked your creport you have only used 1200$ in all of your cards we can do balance transfer with your current limit ani, i said iam planning to btransfer 6-8k in coming weeks before that i want to make sure my climit meets that amt,she said i have increased your climit to 10k and she asked if we can start bt now i said i dont have the cards to do bt with me right now as iam in office and i want to do in my leisure time she said its fine..

bhupathi, thanks. You answered the question. I use credit cards for everything but pay off on or before due date all the time. So far I never paid a single cent in interest and occasionally would have gone to even 30% credit limit when I use air line tickets to India. Mainly I use Costco amex (cash back) and one master card with point system. You can redeem these points for all kinds of non-sense ofcourse. I use one visa only for on-line purchases. I instructed the bank to restrict the credit limit on that visa card to $1000 and never increase. |

kani high utilization ki Yes it will effect the score but your score will come back in short period since you are paying it in full and it takes 35 or 30 or 45 or 60 days sometimes depending on the which bank.
Ante Example you have $10k Limit and bought stuff worth $9k. It will take 25 or 30 or 40 days to report to the 3 credit bureaus (Experian,Transunion and Equifax]. When reported your score is calculated. But since you will pay off the balance, you will see rise of score.

10%, types of credit used (installment, revolving, consumer finance)

850 * 0.35 = 297.5 Points [Punctuality of payment in the past]
850 * 0.30 = 255 Points [Utilization Ratio]
850 * 0.15 = 127.5 Points [Credit History]
850 * 0.10 = 85 Points [ installment, revolving, consumer finance]
850 * 0.10 = 85 Points [recent search for credit]
For every new card you aplly 4 points will be lost.

Gochi/vemana, why you guys have to go to banks/credit unions to buy a car? If you are buying a new car, isn't it better to buy through the auto company finance itself. I don't have much knowledge about how US car dealers work on this. In Canada, for example if you want to buy a Toyota or Honda whatever, you go to the dealer, negotiate the price and get the car company's finance. Now Toyota and Honda are running at 0.9% purchase finance for 36 to 48 months here. GM/Ford/Chrysler are even better, 0% finance on all 07 models (not used ones, new vehicles). Is it different there? |

yes. i know that. it is 45 days limit. it will not affect score immediately. but it still goes on record. later point of time we get to see it. if they report a week +/- later to the agencies.. we end up getting -ve score. |

u have best grade score gochesh. myfico lo graphs chooppistundi choodu. top order lo vunnavu. u call a credit union and get a pre approved auto loan for 30 or 40 K depending on ur budget. Talk to auto dealer only on the bargain price.. dont ever involve financing issues over there. Bargain as if you are paying cash and walking out with car.
once you finalze the deal and take a PO of the deal. Fax it to your CU. by next day u will get your check... submit it to the dealer. this will reduce your credit check hasseles and you have better options in getting good deal. |

Mamalu,
6 months back Bank of America vaadu na CC ni upgrade chesi 23K with 0 APR for balance transfer ichadu. Nenu appudu balance transfer use cheyyaledu. Now I want to use it, but the problem is.. the current APR is 7 or something. Is it possible to get 0 APR on the same card by calling the bank?
Or what is the best way to get 0 APR without going to another card.
