Film Talk: Why Big Hype To 'Chiranjeevi' Alone?
Mohan Babu's speech on the event of Chiranjeevi's felicitation is still under discussion. There are many underlined expressions in his speech. He pointed many expressions conveying that Chiranjeevi is being given much hype for receiving an award.
"No one felicitated Jaggayya in this way when he received Padmabhsuhan. It was me who went to him with a shawl", implied Mohan Babu. Thus, he implied that Chiranjeevi is being given more hype than anyone. On the other hand, another Padmabhushan award winner ANR also hasn't come to the function.
Mohan Babu also passed on satires on the age factor of Chiranjeevi conveying that he is too young to receive Padmabhushan and needs to achieve a lot to meet that rendezvous.
He also said "MAA is not supposed to do this function due to income tax issue. But it's being accomplished in the other way".
Well, this gave vent for many to suspect if Chiranjeevi himself sponsored his felicitation program.
"In many situations Chiranjeevi appeared as a host but not as the one who is receiving felicitation", pointed out a film personality.
"Above all, people are behind Chiranjeevi unlike his predecessors. It's the salute of fans to Chiranjeevi than anything else. Well, it may not be a Padmabhushan, even a small time Nandi award would bring in hype for this Mega Star", says film circles.
