I suggest to the investors here to read a book titled "Hot Commodities" by Jim Rogers. It came out in 2004 and whoever is interested in investing should read. We are in a cyclic commodity boom and it is going to last another 10 years at least. I think everyone should have some exposure to commodities in their overall portfolio.

As per my Openion Virginia, New Jersy, Boston are over inflated. There is high chance of down trend or stallment in these ares are interest rates increase

You and I know that that boom is Crazy. It is Buble that is going to burst. Need to be careful and there has to be spefic reason other than the interest rates to buy in this market.

Its guraded. The whole area is walled and a secuirty guard will be posted. Many houses came already.

right now real estate is hot in hyd and blore but have to be very careful, 2 many scams and 2 many problems with real estate
i would buy property in blore for safety
if not buy NNN properties with 9% return
or buy property in miami which might doble in 5 yrs

another route to go is buying business related real estate....
if the growth if the economy stays on its course and the inflow if FDC remains healthy,

if you purchase 1Lakh worth of property and expect to get 20K in rent...take a loan amount for which the EMI would be covered by the rent...and make a downpayment on the rest...with in 5/10 years...whatever the length of the loan ....the property will be yours and more over you can take depreciation on an annual basis....

If u add the rents earned plus the apprecaition on the property it might be nearly double.

But Banagalore is more hotter than Hyderabad.

Also Plots apprecaite more than Apartments. House u cannot get in good location for 40 lakhs now

Tester mama, It all depends on your risk tolerance level which again depends on your age/responsibilities etc. Below is in general my opinion on different levels.

High tolerence : aggressive stocks/Mutual funds/REITS. Returns will be good at the same time you should be prepared for loss. But you will end up spending too much time following stock market daily.

Medium tolerence : Real estate, anything for yourself OR for investment property. You don't need to worry about your money as historically real estate business shows consistent growth. Only thing is you need to be LONG. You can SHORT but only in few markets like SF-Bay area/NY etc. The returns are really good atleast 8-12% per year

Low tolerence : CDs/US Treasury bonds etc. Low growth but defnitive return and insured by FDIC or govt.

What I explained is little but there is much more than that. Let me know your tolerence level and ask specific questions. I can try answering.

They are from AP only.

Any place in IT Corridor will do. They are appreciating pretty well.

Or else buy apartments thro Brigade group. Even that five years u can have decnt appreaition

CD ante Cerificate of deposit. They will pay guaranteed interest. You can buy 1,2,3,5 years.
It is a fixed deposit. Current rate are 4% to 4.8%
