Flights curtailed

While flights to and from Mumbai are operating, they are running behind schedule.

However, Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel has advised airlines to cut down on flights into Mumbai.

"We have requested the different airlines to curtail their flights for the next two days," Patel said.

"Keeping in mind the weather conditions, if instead of the regular 30 flights, 20 are operated, then the pressure will be reduced and the passengers who have urgent work can also be served," he added.

Following the Civil Aviation Minister's appeal, Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines have announced that they are cutting down on flights.

Air Deccan has asked passengers using its services in and out of Mumbai today to call its helpline numbers - 98925-77008 and 080-39008888
