In the US it very common for newspapers to endorse a political party. But the articles do nto favor them outright - but serve as campaign platforms sometimes. On the other hand - in the Editorial yesterday apart from mentioning hordes of other things RR mentioned that he had certain agendas and used EEnadu as a platform to promote those - like naming an airport - abolition of arrack etc. In short he was using his capcity as a mass communicator to drive his owm ideas - and I guess that is perfectly allowed and understood. Not that I would endorse it - but the fact still remains that but same holds for Ram, Girish Sangi, Pritish Nandy and the erstwhile Goenka group.
