Step 1
Karunanidhi accused Jayalalitha for going soft on Kanchi Seer and threatened to take mass agitation. Hez trying desperately for all the non-brahmin votes in TN for the next assembly elections.
Step 2
Jayalalitha is a wounded lioness after the recent debacle in the parliament elections. Shez looking for every opportunity to ditch BJP and join Congress. Afraid that Kanchi episode might backfire on her in the forthcoming assembly elections, went ahead and got the Seer arrested (Might be to appease Sonia).
Step 3
Karunanidhi applauded the action taken by JJ. Soon realized his party is sidelined by the entire episode and the credit going to JJ. He took a completely uturn and gave a press statement attributing "political and personal motives" to the arrest of the Kanchi sankaracharya.
Step 4
Letz wait and see JJ's approach now. Will she relent and go soft on Kanchi seer? Her past records show she never takes a step back. |
