Please go through the content below and help the temple.
The dream of Sai Baba devotees of Southern California came to a reality with the help of Dr. Prabhakar, several Sai
devotees and groups including Saismaran, Irvine. It was nothing short of a miracle to have the inauguration of the
Temple on Jan 21st 2007, in less than a week after signing the contract with the property owner. Thereafter, with
Baba’s blessings the growth at temple has taken tremendous strides, and this temple currently has more than
1000 devotees who regularly visit the temple.
Here is a brief recap of the events happened till date:
• The divine idea of a place to worship for Sai Baba devotees in LA occurred to Dr. Prabhakar Tummala in
September 2006.
• Dr. Prabhakar Tummala came forward to provide $ 325,000 as loan and purchased the land & building.
What needs to happen going forward?
• The remaining part of the property cost is payable by January 16th 2008. A request to get an extension was
turned down by the property owner.
• Banks are unwilling to give loan to a temple, which has less than 12 months history.
• Idea mooted to raise funds from devotees in the form of interest free loan or donations need to be raised
by December 31st, 2007
How can you help?
• Provide interest free loan of $500 and above to Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan, LA. 50% of the loan will be
repaid by end of 2nd year and the remaining 50% by end of 3rd year. The devotees also can contribute
generously as Donation to repay the loan amount.
• Please respond to this appeal by contacting any one from the Temple team who is in touch with you or call
(323) 721‐1772 or e‐mail to fundraise@shirdisaila.org
• Please make your checks payable to ‘Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan, LA’. Either you can mail the checks to the
temple address below or hand over the checks to volunteers at the Temple. Upon receipt of Funds, an
official receipt will be mailed to you.
We are confident that with the blessing of Saibaba and generous contributions from devotees like you, we will be
able to meet the commitment on January 16th 2008 and move forward with other major activities such as Sai Baba
idol’s Pratishtapana, renovation and facility upgrades in due course.
