is KAD stoping doing DVD business ??
The more appropriate question would be, "Are fewer people buying/renting DVDs"?
More than 90% of Telugu customer base has at least one in family who are in either IT field or good with computers. This could be hurting the DVD business as I see most know to share links to DVD-rips from torrent sites.
These days, it's getting hard to buy music CDs online. I bet, soon it will be the same case with DVDs. We will all probably end up getting DVDs from India in near future.
There is a telugu movie discussion board named Bewarsetalk.net (appropriately named?). The people there love to talk about movies and box office and express their fanaticism about their supreme hero. Such sites should show their love for telugu movies by moderating links or discussions about movie downloads. Instead they seem to encourage such discussions.
To make things even worse, there are many blogs which provide links to download Rips from the most recent DVDs. I just don't understand why these generous people do that. Maybe they think they are doing a noble cause for telugu community or it could be to brag about their great blog!
Unless something magical happens to telugu movie lover, the golden age of QUALITY TELUGU DVDs had it's last smile on Tolly2Holly.
